Since that post I&#039;ve done a lot of soul searching, and realized that moving back there would actually be a very bad idea, but not totally out of the question. You don&#039;t have to leave your friends behind to move forward, but perhaps you need to focus less on missing your friends and more on developing your social networks in your new location. 

I moved from one side of Australia to the other and found myself desperately homesick... untill I managed to develop some good relationships (and that can sometimes take a while). Now I am planing on moving to another country where I don&#039;t know anyone for a career opportunity, and I know that I will be homesick for where I am now, but most likely only untill I develop my social networks over there.

If you moved back to California do you really think it would be like it was when you were on holiday from your dream job? ...I think if you answer that question you will have your answer.</description>
